Availability Certificate of Conformity (COC)

In general, COCs are only available for vehicles that are manufactured for the European Union (EU) and have been type approved by a European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) or EU Type Approval. European type for small series (SSTA).

For all vehicles manufactured or registered before 1995, no COC is available.

Important

Before ordering a Certificate of Conformity (COC), please ensure that a COC is available for the vehicle concerned. You must also check that the vehicle is not pledged, or you will receive an identification certificate.

If your vehicle is manufactured/registered before 1995 or if a model that is not listed in the overview below or a European Type Approval number is not mentioned on the plate/l manufacturer's label, a Certificate of Conformity (COC) is not available. Please do. do not order a COC if it is not available for the vehicle in question. In the event that a COC order is still placed, while it is known in advance that a COC is not available, a 90% refund is applicable according to our general conditions. Therefore, 90% of the amount paid will be refunded in these avoidable circumstances.

How to find out if the vehicle is European type approved?

European Type Approved vehicles are recognizable by the European Type Approval number listed just below the manufacturer's name on the manufacturer's plate/label. The European approval number begins with the letter "e" followed by a one or two digit country code (e.g. "e4" or "e13") and a combination of number segments separated by an asterisk (* ) and a forward slash (/ ) separator/delimiter characters (e.g. e13*2001/116*0260). Please see below example of a European Whole Vehicle Approved Vehicle Manufacturer's Plate/Label.

Only the following models and model years are covered by a European type approval (WVTA or SSTA) for which a COC may be available/orderable. Please check the manufacturer's plate/label on the location of the vehicle shown in the table below, to determine if a European Type Approval number is listed and therefore a COC may be available/orderable.< /p>
